Don't Wait

This is one of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I want to pluck it and show the world, but if I did, my hands would be covered in thorns. I could take a picture, but a photo wouldn't do justice to its beauty. Ultimately, if I want to show the world this flower, I have to lead them to it.
• The Lesson: In Matthew 5:16, we are told to let our light shine so others may see our good works and glorify the Father. We cannot "own" the Gospel or force its beauty into a neat, portable package that suits our convenience. Like the flower, the glory of God is best experienced when we lead people directly to the Source. Our job isn't to carry the beauty ourselves, but to be guides who point the way to the "Garden."
The thing about this flower, is that this is a Trichocereus (Torch Cactus) hybrid. Their flowers are notoriously fleeting, often lasting only a day, which makes the moment you captured even more special. In other words, we're not guaranteed a tomorrow. So why are you waiting to share the Good News? God is not a secret to be kept. Don't wait until it's too late.
