The Voice of a Martyr
Written by: Adam M. Snow
There was a martyr with a voice,
Brimming with love to rise above the noise.
To spread the truth was his heart’s desire,
Ignited by the Spirit’s holy fire.
He loved his God, his kin, his land,
And preached the path to eternity’s strand.
His voice rang bold, his spirit blessed,
Yet foes sought to silence him with tragic zest.
On that fateful day, they stole his breath,
Before the crowd and his wife, in cruel death.
The enemy rejoiced as the world grew still,
Through an act so vile, so steeped in ill.
Yet from bloodstained grass, his echo soared,
His voice amplified by the faithful horde.
Churches rose united, their voices one,
A revival sparked, breaking through the din.
The martyr’s voice grew stronger still,
His mission enduring, his purpose fulfilled.
He lived ablaze with holy fire,
And countless souls his words inspire.
Many now rise to take his stand,
To carry his voice across this land.
His legacy, anointed, shines ever bright,
Now he rests with the Savior in eternal light.
